Shirin Salamat
Attorney at Law — Founder
Mrs. Shirin Salamat is the founding attorney of Salamat Legal with over 20 years of experience in Iranian law. A member of the Iranian Bar Association, she leads the firm's practice across the full spectrum of Iranian real estate law — including property sales and power-of-attorney management for the diaspora, landlord-tenant disputes and eviction proceedings, commercial and retail lease matters involving sarghofli (key money) rights, pre-sale (pish-foroush) apartment contract review and fraud prevention, and ownership and building-permit questions for dual citizens and foreign heirs. She also handles Iranian family law and intellectual property protection for clients living outside Iran.
Based in Orange County, California, with attorneys physically present in Tehran, Shirin bridges the gap between Iranian legal procedure and clients who cannot be present in Iran — preparing and authenticating powers of attorney, representing clients before Iranian courts and the Dispute Resolution Council, and coordinating with U.S. counsel on the sanctions and tax dimensions of property transactions.
